“Strategic cooperation for the development of WMU meta-NFT ecosystem”.
On October 7, 2022, The World Miss University Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as WMU) and ECO PLANET signed strategic cooperation for the planning and development of the blockchain project (tentative name WMU META).
Through this strategic cooperation, the companies aim to accelerate the further creation of the metaverse ecosystem that will connect WMU’s global network, which has been run for the last 36 years. In addition, the ‘31st World Miss University 2022’ and the ‘34th Miss University (Korea) 2022 contests are marked by the integration of transparent blockchain technologies, the organizers will mint Support Ukrainian refugees NFTs, NFTs to support Pakistan citizens affected by natural disasters.
The “World Miss University” Organizing Committee was founded by the United Nations-affiliated, the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) (NGO), with the aim to commemorate the “International year of Peace” declared by the United Nations in 1986 as well as to strengthen the international mission and quality of higher education worldwide. Every year, outstanding female college students got selected from all over the world are appointed as the ‘World University Student Peace Volunteer Corps’ to spread the message of love and peace globally. In 1993, the UN chief secretary, Mr. Vladimir Petrovsky presented the ‘World University Student Peace Volunteer Mission’ to all representatives of each country.
It has been 37 years since WMU was established as a non-profit foundation (Dos. ID 4795333) in New York, USA, during this time it has been constantly selecting the world university student peace volunteer delegation. Under the motto of ‘The Movement’, ‘World Family, Brotherhood of Humanity, and ‘Environmental Movement for Human Survival on Earth’, the foundation promotes love and peace world.
Eco Planet is a blockchain-developing project incubated by the ‘Korea AI Blockchain Convergence Institute’. Its portfolio includes but not limited to NFT Platform “ECONFT”. The platform is distinguished by listing eco-friendly and renewable energy NFTs. The project attracted wide attention due to listing its governance token ESG (ERC-20) on TOP global cryptocurrency exchanges such as ‘Gate.io’ and Latoken.
According to the Chairman of the World Miss University Organizing Committee, Mr. Lee Seung-Min, the “WMU is a contest that selects the World University Student Peace Volunteer Corps, where university students from all over the world gather to volunteer so to contribute to the world peace and human being prosperity. Unfortunately, the world today is facing the great threats of wars, civil wars, and various natural disasters. WMU is aiming to select a delegation of university students who will contribute to humanity in every corner of the globe in a polite and tolerant manner. In cooperation with ECO PLANET, the foundation is aiming to establish transparent donation culture and promote borderless services. In the future, both companies are planning to develop WMU Meta (blockchain project) which will integrate WMU’s networks.
